| Originally said to planned for 2003 the
introduction of the C2 is shifted to 2005. The C2 will be build in a new plant in Kolin, 60 km from Prague in the Czech Republic. This new plant is a joint venture of PSA and Toyota ! The factory will build the Citroën C2, the Peugeot 107 and a Toyota version of this small car. The price of the C2 will be below € 8000,- |

The C2 will be available with a 1.0l petrol engine and a 1.4l HDI
engine. The production capacity of the new
plant is 300.000 units a year. Toyota will be in charge of the
development and production of the cars, PSA will be responsible for the
purchasing. The total investment for this 50/50 joint venture, including research, development and business start-up costs, is estimated at approximately € 1.5 billion. Please note : |
